Friday's Fright Film Fact
Close-up or medium shots
of the mummy in,The Mummy's Hand (1940) male up artist Jack P. Pierce's
painstaking glued strips of cotton on Tom Tyler's face, to create deep
wrinkles. But for the long shots, Tyler wore a time-saving (and much more
comfortable) rubber mask.
