Texas Chain Massacre (1974),
Silence of the Lambs (1991), and Psycho (1960) were based on true story of Ed Gein, a Wisconsin man who in
1957 was arrested and convicted for two murders and for digging up the corpses for
several women. Gein reportedly skinned the bodies to make lamp shades, socks and a
"woman suit".
